    Wow, that research lab had a cool display system. Latest thing. No power, no volts, fade free, infinitely variable layout, very wide viewing angle, screen can survive impact of hurled desks, chairs and teachers. It is cheap to buy, cannot be hacked, is always ready to use with any kind of pointing device. Characters and graphics are generated by contact with a small easily and cheaply replaceable calcium carbonate rod. Corrections and deletions are made using contact with most fabrics.

    It is called a blackboard.
