As films go my rule - 3 stripes and you are out. 4 stripes and you don't even start.
Scott Pilgrim is a movie I will not bother to see after learning from sneaker previews that the only talking point is the brand of shoe responsible for the Pilgrim's progress.
The reason for the difference is the different producers the film producers already had the rights to display the adidas and rickenbacker logos. The reason this image was used is because its one of the few scenes where scott isn't wearing a smashing pumpkins shirt, which as you may have guessed, can't be displayed on the cd cover.
