  1. So, Thor is the best? Or is it just the most trailery?

I saw Hemsworth turning up outside that Kapow! malarky t'other week. He's like a walking optical illusion - at 15' away from me he looked like he was only 3' away from me.

  5. Thor is a deity in Askard who argues with Dad (Odin) who strips away the supernatural powers and sends his offspring to live as a mere mortal with humans. In this respect Thor is a male version of Brunnhilde, the fat lady of Wagner's 4 operas that make up 'The Ring'. The Ride of the Valkyries is the best known tune. She falls out with father Wotan who lives in Valhalla and is stripped of her powers and left to the mercy of humans.

If Thor is as good as Brunnhilde, then I for one look forward to the film.

  6. Oh, I forgot to mention that Brunnhilde spends a lot of time hunting down a missing magic ring (a bit like the ring in Lord of the Rings), while Thor manages to misplace his hammer. 'The Ring' ends badly when the fat lady finishes singing and dives into the flames as Valhalla goes up in smoke. I don't know what happens to Thor.

  7. He rams his hammer into the fat lady's ring and everyone lives happily ever after.

  8. Ha Ha, It's not over till the hammer blows the fat lady's ring.

  9. Part of what I wanted from the film was a guy in armor with a giant hammer smacking frost giants in the face...and so I got that. It was a good time at the theaters, and that's all I asked for. Good review, check out mine when you can!
